DMCA / Copyright Policy
Zenbu respects the intellectual property rights of others and responds to valid takedown notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
Notice
If you believe content accessible through Zenbu infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice as described below. We respond to complete, valid notices promptly.
Zenbu Does Not Host Video Content
Zenbu does not upload, store, encode, or host any video files on its own infrastructure. It indexes and links to third-party sources that provide the content. If a source is infringing, the most effective takedown is often directed at the source itself. Where a Zenbu link points at infringing content, notify us and we will remove the link.
Filing a Takedown Notice
To file a notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), send a written communication to our designated agent below that includes:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorized agent.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail (e.g. the Zenbu URL) for us to locate it.
- Your contact information — address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.
Incomplete notices may not receive a response.
Counter-Notification
If content you posted or linked was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice containing your identification of the removed material, a statement under penalty of perjury that removal was a mistake or misidentification, your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district, and your signature. We will forward valid counter-notices to the original complainant.
Repeat Infringer Policy
Zenbu has no user-generated content or accounts of its own, so this applies primarily to indexed sources: sources that are the subject of repeated, valid takedown notices will be removed from the index entirely.
Designated Agent
Send DMCA notices and counter-notices to our designated agent through the Contact page, using the subject line “DMCA Notice”.
