How Zenbu decides an episode is "watched"

Zenbu normally tracks episodes for you: watch far enough into one (skipping the intro or outro is fine) and it bumps your episode count on your primary AniList tracker, as well as scrobbling to SIMKL if connected. If you prefer to do it yourself, use the episode tracking control on the watch page to mark an episode watched instead.
What counts as "far enough"
Getting to around the last fifth of the episode, having actually watched a good chunk of it rather than just dragging the seek bar to the end. If you watch the episode all the way to the very last frame, that always counts too, even if you were speed-watching.
Left partway through? No problem
Watched most of an episode, closed the tab, and came back later to finish the last few minutes? Zenbu remembers how much you'd already watched and picks up where that left off — you don't lose credit for coming back.
Need to correct something?
Open the episode tracking control on the watch page to reset an episode back to unwatched. You can also pause automatic tracking for a whole series there; resume it whenever you are ready for Zenbu to start recording episodes again.
What if I close the tab right as it finishes?
Zenbu saves your progress locally the moment it decides an episode is watched, before it even tries to tell AniList. If closing the tab interrupts that update, it quietly finishes the job the next time you open Zenbu — or, if you start watching the next episode instead, Zenbu notices you're a step ahead and catches the previous one up for you.
Finishing the whole series
Watch the final episode of a show you have marked "Watching" and Zenbu moves it to "Completed" on AniList automatically, the same way AniList's own site does — no extra step needed.
